What do the Output Messages from the Batch Extract Mean?

The batch extract can sometimes output some messages, the meaning of which is not always apparent. There are messages that go under the title "Messages Embedded Within Extraction Lines" and "Messages After Extraction Lines".

The former messages (within extraction lines) are there primarily for the use of Response Systems in the event of a problem. They, for instance, highlight where ambiguities exist in the packaging of procedure steps or when the packaging is missing altogether. This is rarely as issue for the customer.

The further set of messages (after the extraction lines) are debug information produced by the CA Gen action diagram lister. Again this is only of use if the job were to fail and Response Systems needed to report this information to Computer Associates.
