Access Gen V7.6.5

Response Systems is pleased to announce the release of Access Gen Windows V7.6.5. It contains a host of new features, a streamlined interface and enhancements to existing reports to ensure you continue to maximise your CA Gen development productivity.

- CA Gen Task Scheduling
Access Gen Windows now supports full asynchronous task processing. For QA Console customers (integrated version), this caters for summary and detailed QA reports and for Client Server Encyclopedia users, common CA Gen processes such as uploads, downloads, adoptions, migrations and consistency checks can now all be submitted, monitored and processed from within Access Gen. There’s an integrated database, queue functionality, task prioritization, execution windows and cleanup tasks to ensure development teams are as efficient as possible whilst giving administrators the control they need to maintain a productive development environment.

- Cross model attribute usage report
Overwhelmingly positive customer feedback for the Attribute Usage Report has lead to its extension to the Pick List cross model family of features. The task of seeing how and where an attribute or attributes are used across multiple models is now a simple task with the interactive report returned providing an ideal springboard for further analysis.

- Multi-entity browse report
Ever wanted to produce an ERD report on all of the entities in your model right down to its attributes, relationships, identifies and all their properties? Add them to the Pick List and press the Entity Browse push button. Now producing this important release document is easy.

- Packaging report enhancements
The Packaging Report for Load Modules and Procedure Steps has now been extended to detail what triggers they implement.

- Literal locator improvements
The Literal Locator feature has been further enhanced to cater for NUMERICS and allow for ‘matches exactly’ searches for the input string.

- Client based cache maintenance
With the advent of full asynchronous task support, cache maintenance has been brought into the Access Gen client with the Task Manager decommissioned. With automatic cache management and recurring task capabilities, maintaining up to date cache structures is now a whole lot easier.

Access Gen & integrated QA Console

- New QA Console checks
All existing RS Supplied checks have been incorporated as fully supported Base checks. There’s also a new check to highlight unused attributes – a finer level of detail than the current unused view check.

- New QA Console detailed report layout
Based on customer feedback, the Detailed Report has been reformatted to be more concise when objects pass a check. When issues occur they are now more obvious and compliance certificates more brief, whilst still delivering the level of assurance that an object is ready for promotion.
